Here is the full text of the document (in pdf format) which defines the rules governing the way the ORA operates.

2. Sir Ashley Ponsonby Awards for Junior Shooters

Juniors who have reached a good level of shooting within the County may be eligible for one of the Awards offered under the scheme sponsored by our now retired President, Sir Ashley.
Three levels are available :- Bronze, Silver and Gold.    Very roughly these levels can be equated to :- Bronze, a good club shooter, Silver, a shooter of County standard and Gold, a shooter of National standard.
Club officials should not be put off putting applicants forward because of what appears, at first sight, to be a complex points system based on several averages and performances in established competitions. Simply submit names of shooters who you think may qualify for one of the Medals together with an outine of their performances (to Eric Dougliss or John Farren). The applications will then be considered and further details may be requested later.
The latest information about the scheme and details of some of the standards for various disciplines , is available for download in three sections. AP1, AP2 and AP3
(Note: formal standards for a couple of the now accepted disciplines have yet to be worked out, but that will not prevent awards being given in those disciplines)
