The ORA Small-bore Summer Championship - 16th May 2010

       The full results of the Meeting are now available on the ORA Small-bore Results Website. Congratulations to Pat O'Donnell for winning the Championship this year in a tight match that saw only 3 points difference in the 'podium' positions. Congratulations also to Mrs Hatton, the winner of B Class with a score which would have put her equal third in A Class. Holly Lay put in a fabulous shoot to wine D Class and the Junior Trophy. She beat B Bryant of Abingdon School on countback. Abingdon School, under the expert coaching of Alan Smith showed consistently good scores for Tyros.
       But the greatest plaudits must go to Peter Pierce. He won C Class with a brilliant aggregate of 21 which would have given him the day's leading score by a full 7 points.

Lost and Found. Left at the Bicester Range after the meeting - one well worn Barbour Jacket and Hood and a Black and White Shooting Cap. If you have lost either of these items, or know who has, please mail Frank Slade.

The Wright Cup 2009 Competition & Pairs Cup

       The match was shot at Otmoor Range on Saturday 27th June 2009.

       Isis was the winning team and Pat Adams and John Winter took the Pairs prize. Once again John Winter, the organiser, was dismayed by the limited number of entries. Commentary by John Winter can be viewed here and the full results can be downloaded here.

Qualifiers for NSRA County Badges

       Frank Slade has drawn up a list of all those shooters who qualify for a County Badge. If you have represented the County for two years in a team of Twenty or three years in a Cup Match then you should quality. The badges cost £10 (cheque payable to the ORA). If you think you qualify and might be interested in obtaining a Badge click here.

NSRA Light Sport Rifle Inter-County Competition 2008  

Oxfordshire put up an excellent showing in this year's competition by coming first with a record score. In addition Mike Rudge was the highest scorer out of all entrants with a magnificent 398/400. The full results are available here.
